Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen an die folgenden Aspekte informationstechnischer Verkabelung fest: a) Planung; b) Installationspraktiken. Diese Europäische Norm gilt für alle Arten informationstechnischer Verkabelung innerhalb von Gebäuden (und kann auf Verkabelung angewendet werden, die als Teil des Gebäudes definiert ist), einschließlich anwendungsneutraler Verkabelungsanlagen, die nach der Normenreihe EN 50173 ausgelegt sind.
